This later version of the Roto-Robot had a start-stop motion, chest doors which swung open to reveal two guns, a rotating body and realistic sound effects. It was 'metal printed' as opposed to the 'solid' version of the same name of robots used before, allowing for more colourful detail. The toy robot is one of many, which played a key role in shaping public expectations of the form and behaviour which future robots should adopt.
