New Silver Robot with box packaging, manufactured by Horikawa, Japan, 1969

This was a chrome silver version of Horikawa's previous 'New Astronaut' toy robot. The revised colour may speak to contemrporay fascination with space and sci-fi, which featured a range of silver-coloured robot characters.
