This design of toy robot by Horikawa came in a wide range of versions, and was issued with English or Japanese packaging. The robot is powered by two 'C' cell batteries, and would walk forward before a space screen scrolled across the chest. The robot is one of many designs which played a key role postwar influencing public perceptions of robots.
