Wimhurst Machine
Electrostatic generator, known as a Wimshurst machine, made by William Satchell in Manchester, c.1920, invented by James Whimshurst 1880 - 1883, produces a high voltage by building up a charge of static electricity, used to demonstrate electrostatic sparks and properties of electricity.
