Watch movement by Estienne Hubert, Rouen, France c.1650. Movement only with no dial or hands. Verge escapement, pinned on balance cock with long oval foot, and worm and wheel set-up regulator, and train of three wheels. Signed 'Estienne Hubert A Rouen'. Presented by G. Atkins, to the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers in 1818. Clockmakers' Museum No. 33

Hubert was almost certainly a relation of Robert Hubert, the watchmaker from Rouen accused of maliciously starting the Great Fire of London and hanged.
