Silver pair-cased watch with alarm by Jeremy Gregory, London, c.1670. Plain silver outer case, possibly of a later date. Inner case, pierced and engraved with flowers and foliage. Silver dial with engraved border and a raised hour circle, with an alarm disc and pointer in the centre. Single steel hour hand with long tail. Movement with verge escapement, a train of three wheels, and fusee with gutline for a chain.

Jeremy Gregory was admitted to the Clockmakers’ Company in 1652. He was Master in 1665 – 8 and again in 1676. Clockmakers' Museum No. 41.
