Pierced and engraved silver pair-cased verge escapement watch by Charles Gretton with the outer case of leather studded with silver

The silver dial has long hour figures with a steel hand and a central alarm disk with steel pointer. The movement has a small balance wheel and spring of two turns. London, c.1690.

Gretton became Master of the Clockmakers’ in 1700.
