Gold watch with one-minute tourbillon retailed by S Smith & Son of 9 Strand London. Gold hunter case hallmarked for London, 1907 and marked 'SS' for Samuel Smith and Son. Silvered dial with subsidiary seconds and state-of-wind dials, and blued steel hands. Signed S Smith & Son, 9 Strand London, No. 302/8' and also marked with seals of the Lord High Admiralty of Great Britain and of the King of Spain. Three-quarter plate movement with lever escapement and one minute tourbillon, made by Nicole Nielsen & Co. Movement engraved 'Makers to the Admiralty, S Smith & Son, 9 Strand London, No. 502-8' and 'To H.M. the King of Spain' with engraved seals of the Lord High Admiralty of Great Britain and of the King of Spain.
