Spring driven table clock with pull repeat by Richard Baker, London, c.1685. Oak case veneered in Kingwood, with brass feet, flame finials, mounts and basket top with carrying handle. 7 inch square dial with matted centre, date aperture engraved with scrollwork, applied silvered chapter ring and cherub spandrels. Fusee movement of 8 day duration, verge escapement and short pendulum. Rack striking, pull repeat on three bells. Tulip engraved backplate, signed ‘Richd. Baker London’. Clockmakers' Museum No. 563
