Spring driven, striking table clock with pull quarter repeat by Andrew Dunlop, London, c.1740. Case veneered in mahogany with inverted bell top and brass feet. The sides have glazed panels with circular fretwork above, and brass carrying handles. Arch dial with alarm dial located in the arch, matted centre with applied silvered chapter ring, calendar and mock pendulum apertures, and steel hands (minute hand broken). Applied silvered name plaque signed 'Andr Dunlop, London' Movement of 8 day duration, with verge escapement and short pendulum, alarmwork, rack striking and pull quarter repeat on six bells. The backplate elaborately engraved. Clockmakers' Museum No. 694
