Spring driven, striking table clock with pull quarter repeat by George Tyler, London, c.1720. Ebonised case with inverted bell top, brass carrying handle on top, glazed apertures with ebony fretwork to sides, and brass feet. 5 inch arched dial with applied silvered chapter ring surrounded by crown and sceptre spandrels, matted centre with aperture for mock pendulum and applied name plaque signed 'Geo Tyler, London'. Applied silvered date ring to centre of arch, with smaller 'strike/silent' and pendulum regulation dials either side. Fusee movement of 8 day duration with verge escapement and short pendulum, hour striking and pull quarter repeating on 6 bells. Engraved backplate with pendulum stop. Clockmakers' Museum No. 699
