Pocket terrestrial globe by John and William Cary, London, c.1791.
William and John Cary worked in the Strand and were regarded as the finest map and globe makers of their period.
This pocket globe belonged to the Arnold family; pioneers in the manufacture of watches and chronometers for use in navigation.
