Award presented to Roy Ashton

A commemorative award in a presentation case presented to Roy Ashton (1909-1995) for his special effects make-up, dating from about 1975. The engraving may reflect the classic scene from the RKO film production 'King Kong' (1933), where the giant gorilla stands astride the Empire State Building in New York, fending off aeroplane attacks.
