Wooden figure of Saint Livertin, patron of headache sufferers, possibly French, 18th century
Saint Livertin is one of seven healing saints honoured in the western French region of Brittany, presiding specifically over headaches and migraines. Also known as Avertin, the former monk clutches his head as if in great pain.
