Demonstration models of engines. 1) Steam engine single cylinder with valves sectioned hand turned crank with single eccentric to work the valve., scales on cylinder, slide valve and crank show points of cut off. Made by Cussons Limited, The Technical Works, Broughton, Manchester. 2) Steam engine single cylinder with slide valve section fitted with Walshaerts valve gear expansion link. Hand turned crank with operating link on it. Made by Cussons Limited. 3) Horizontal Gas Engine, Four stroke engine, sectioned with three poppet valves, gas in let and exhaust. The valves should be driven from a crankshaft at the back which is turned by screw gears from the crankshaft. 4) Vertical four stroke sectioned engine with crankshaft piston, overhead inlet and exhaust below it at the side. Sparking plug that should spark. Made by Thomas Watt, Deansgate, Manchester. Mersey series No 279.
