Components from ICL mainframe computers, S3L ‘Estriel’ and SX ‘Essex’. Made in West Gorton, Manchester, 1980-1990.

Design of the S3L Level 80 computer began in 1980 and the product was released in 1985, under the agreement between ICL and Fujitsu of 1981. The design was carried out in West Gorton, the chips were manufactured by Fujitsu and manufacturing of the total system carried out at ICL Ashton. At its launch, it was the most powerful single commercial computer system in the world. The SX was the successor model to the Level 80 and was the world's most powerful large mainframe at the time of its launch in 1990.
