Toshiba T1000SE laptop with Alcatel NV database for reporters to use before and during the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. Includes mains adaptor, warranty, manuals, in carry-bag.
These laptops were distributed to 3,600 writers working in 50 countries to simplify their access to the Alcatel network. Users would select an access point based on their location; the laptop would dial the appropriate telephone number, establishing a connection with the central computer run by the Olympic Organising Committee. The Core Processing Unit is Intel 80C86.
