Food plate used by Dr Griffith Pugh during 1952 expedition to Mount Cho Oyu to provide nutritional data for the Mount Everest expedition of 1953, United Kingdom, 1952-3. The results he calculated suggested that the climbers ascending Mount Cho Oyu expended 3960 calories and took in only 3189.
