One of three framed fine art photographs by Anderson & Low acquired from the ‘Voyages’ exhibition presented at the Science Museum in 2017. The photographs as a group responded to the stored collections of ship models at Blythe House, decanted from the Shipping Galleries in 2017. Photographing through the models’ protective sheeting, Anderson & Low produced dramatic images that imagine romantic histories for these small ships. Their works draw strong connections between SMG’s ship model, art and photography collections, as well as making visible the life of collections in store. Photos 21 and 23 formed the signature marketing images for the Voyages exhibition.
