A Reichert rotary microtome, used by F.W. Sansome at the Manchester Royal Horticultural Society and the University of Manchester between 1935 and 1948, and later on by Dr. Alan Charlton between 1970 and 1984 in his reseach into inflorescenses in aquatic monocotyledons and on patterns of branching in roots.
