Galvanometer for testing electric cables, British Insulated and Helsby Cables Limited, Prescot, Lancashire.

This galvanometer was made by British Insulated and Helsby Cables Limited, which were a Lancashire company supplying components for electricity supply from 1902 to around 1924. It is likely that it was used to test the insulated cables that the company produced.
