Bioscope, or travelling hand-cranked cinema.

This bioscope is a portable (often as part of a wheeled cart) viewing device. By looking through the multiple viewing holes sequences of images – usually reels of still illuminated images rather than actual film reels can be viewed. Many came with a gramophone attached, and later record or cassette tape players, providing the film reels with musical accompaniment.

The mechanism was hand-cranked by the operator using the handles on the top, turning one way for viewing and the other way to rewind.
