The Conet Project explores the phenomenon of ‘numbers stations’ – regular, repeated short-wave radio broadcasts which comprise only lists of formatted numbers, sometimes accompanied by short bursts of music or other sounds. The origins and purpose of these broadcasts is the subject of great speculation amongst radio enthusiasts and conspiracy theorists. Historically, they are thought by many to have been encoded broadcasts for communication with secret agents during the Cold War, but here is wider speculation about contemporary broadcasts. The set is question is: "TCP / 1111", a shrink wrapped package containing: The original 4 Conet Project CDs in quadruple Jewel Case, containing recordings of all numbers stations recognised by the project. Three black and white post cards. One full color post card. Extended 80 page booklet in its own Jewel Case. 5th CD in its own Jewel Case with its own new full color booklet.
