Folded and compressed bandage in cardboard box. Cardboard box open, with several layers of compressed bandage exposed. Printed inscription on side of box reading "Tabloid' brand pleated compressed bandages. Open wove 2 1/2 inches x 6 yards'. Stored in first aid kit used by Rear Admiral R.E. Byrd on exploration flight to the Antarctic, 1930, made by Burroughs Wellcome and Co., United States, 1928-1930
