Glass-working blowpipe used for making chemical glassware. Maker unknown, 1940-1960. Labelled 'Shrewsbury School Science Department'.
This blowpipe was used in the science department at Shrewsbury School to make chemical glassware. Using this apparatus, a laboratory technician would blow down the pipe to manipulate the molten glass into the shapes of vessel required.
