Collection of documents relating to Richard Trevithick's Patent on High Pressure Steam Engines

A collection comprising of accounts and letters relating to Richard Trevithick's patent on high pressure steam engines. The majority of this collection is made up of letter between Samuel Homfray and other interested parties in relation to Trevithick's selling of his share in the patent. There are also accounts of the fees due by manufacturers of the engines and an account of money spend Mr Homfray in promoting the production of the engines. 1803-1808
