Marantz CP430 professional cassette recorder, by Marantz, UK, c.1986

The Marantz CP430 professional cassette recorder was considered one of the best professional mobile professional cassette recorders available in the 1980s and 1990s. It was much loved and used by musicians and live sound recorders because of the ability to change the pitch along with a three-head system to monitor what was being recorded. This particular example was used by professional sound recorder and musician David Turner to record transport, locomotives, ships, and aeroplanes and his recordings were used by the BBC plays, Eurotunnel, films, transport societies, and the London Transport Museum.
