Board with three mounted sketches, including two titled ‘Sunset and amber afterglow, No. 3, 6.30; No. 4, 6.40; No. 5, 6.45’, dated September 11th, and one titled ‘Afterglow with rose flush’, dated September 11th, by William Ascroft, London, England, 1885. The two mounted sketches titled ‘Sunset and amber afterglow, No. 3, 6.30; No. 4, 6.40; No. 5, 6.45’ were originally recorded as part of a set of five numbered ‘55’ in the 1888 ‘Catalogue of Sky Sketches’ published for the exhibition at the South Kensington Museum [see attached media for 1888-156: DOC_1888-0156_1888 SKY SKETCHES EXHIBITION CATALOGUE], the other three are now part of 1888-156/55. The mounted sketch titled ‘Afterglow with rose flush’ was originally numbered as ‘56’ in the same catalogue.
