Photograph titled 'A rather small hippopotamus'. Caption on back reads: Snuggled up to 500 pounds of maternity is the new pygmy hippopotaus at Bedford Zoo in Bedfordshire. Mother is six-year-old Senta. The youngster, as yet of undetermined sex and consequently unnamed, has blossomed from a spindly four pounds to 16 pounds since its birth on November 16 last year and was making its picture debut today, February 20.
