Made:
10 March 1951 in London

PA Reuter photograph titled 'Recognise the policeman? It's Olivier!' Caption on back reads: Britain's Sir Laurence Olivier -- one of today's leading stage and screen actors and now an actor-manager -- will appear as a 'bit' player in the Festival Film, 'The Magic Box'. The picture, made co-operatively by the film industry as a contribution to the Festival of Britain, is based on the life of inventor of cinematography William Friese-Greene (played by Robert Donat). Olivier -- and other famous actors -- will appear in it in small, special parts. Olivier will be on screen no more than three minutes. Film is being made at Elstree Studios.
