Caption on back reads: Two of Britain's most famous stage people - actor-manager Sir Laurence Olivier (left) and radio and stage actor Jack Hulbert - shown here in a scene from the Festival Film 'The Magic Box' at Elstree, Herts. They are playing 'bit' parts, as constables in the picture based on the life of cinomatograph inventor William Friese-Greene, and made co-operatively by the British film industry as a contribution to the Festival of Britain. Robert Donat is the star. In private life, Jack Hulbert is an Inspector of Special Constabulary 'C' Division, Metropolitan Police.
