Electronics for a Joyce-Loebl microdensitometer

Made:
1990-2010 in Gateshead

Electronics rack, consisting of internal computer, compact disk and floppy disc drives, and LED displays, used with the Joyce-Loebl microdensitometer at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, associated with Richard Henderson and Nigel Unwin, 1990-2010.

These electronic components were used by Richard Henderson, 2017 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, and Nigel Unwin, at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in their work in visualising biological molecules. The electronics are still in working order.
