Nestling boats, Two models showing Fawcus' mode of constructing boats, so that several of the same size and shape may be packed together.

Nestling Boats (Scale 1:12)

These boats are clinker built and are named nesting boats because any number of identical boats can be stacked one inside another. This method of storing was patented by a Mr. Fawcus in 1862.
