This 'No-Cord' iron and ironing board was bought by Hire-Purchase by Mr Cecil Moore. The HP agreement (in accession file) was signed on 11.11.1948. The cash price was £11/5/9 but the HP price was £12/2/6 paid over a 12 month period.
Mr Cecil Moore and his stepson Norman Clements shared an intereste in new technology and would often buy expensive, unusual and high-quality household appliances.
