Pocket watch, American Waltham, USA, Traveler, serial number 12635607, full hunter, white enamel face with Roman numerals and seconds dial, engraved on the back within a wreath, ‘CAMBRIA 1919 AUGUST’ with the initials ‘J.P.’ within a shield, the inside of the back shield is marked ‘J. Pryce 24 Southfield St Nelson’, made 1904. TSS CAMBRIA was built for the London and North Western Railway in 1897 by William Denny and Brothers of Dumbarton and was renamed TSS Arvonia in 1919, the engraving on this watch commemorates the renaming.
