An endoscope is a a long, thin tube with a small camera inside. It is passed into your body through a natural opening such as your mouth. This type is used for a colonoscopy - to look at the lining of the large bowel. It can be used to detect irritated and swollen tissue, ulcers, or growths such as polyps and it helps diagnose health conditions like Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticular disease and bowel cancer.

Fujifilm EC-760R-V/I video endoscope features the new imaging modalities Blue light Imaging (BLI) and Linked Colour Imaging (LCI) which both increase colour contrast and, allow for enhanced visualisation, improving detection of inflammation and results in in higher accuracy of diagnosis.
