Workmate 8" ‘Work Center and Vice Hobby Crafter’, by Black & Decker, 1981-84.
This product takes the concepts embodied in the ‘Workmate’ combined vice and workbench, and applied them into a new, smaller product designed to be mounted at a wide range of angles atop a bench. It demonstrates the incremental development of the ‘Workmate’ concept which took place based upon its patented design features.
