Single large glass copy negative of Louis Le Prince's footage, Roundhay Garden Scene, shot in October 1888. This copy negative was made by the Science Museum in the 1930s from the original paper negatives created by Le Prince.

Le Prince film of a garden scene in Leeds, West Yorkshire, October 1888. This sequence, from possibly the earliest surviving film taken by Louis le Prince (1841-1890?), shows Mr and Mrs Whitley, le Prince's parents-in-law, his son Adolphe and Harriet Hartley in the Whitley's garden in Leeds. They are walking in a circle to keep within the area framed by le Prince's camera, a single-lens camera which he himself devised.
