Gelatine silver reproduction print entitled 'Worsted 'Sinner', Daniel Illingwarth's Mill, Bradford' by Ian Beesley. Produced for the commission `Through the Mill:, The Story of Yorkshire Wool in Photographs'. 1985-1987'. Titled and signed by the artist.
The wool, once it has been drawn out to its required thickness (the count), is called a roving. The spinning process twists the fibres of the roving into a yarn which is wound on to a bobbin. Daniel Illingworth's mill is one of the largest spinners in the business and now forms part of the Illingworth Morris group.
