Bowling Green Mill, Bingley

During the nineteenth century, the amount of fixed capital invested in mills generally increased considerably in proportion to the increased scale of mill buildings. This enormous mill originally dwarfed the town of Bingley and the cottages surrounding it. Bowling Green mill was built by Stephen Wildman in 1871 and accommodated 25,000 worsted spindles.
