Gelatine silver print entitled 'Interior of the Merchant Adventurers' Hall, York' by Ian Beesley. Produced for the commission `Through the Mill:, The Story of Yorkshire Wool in Photographs'. 1985-1987'.
The building still hosts the ancient courts and a service is held in the chapel of this hall each year. Heading the Adventurers' roll of honour is William Wooller, cloth merchant of Airedale (died 1597).
