Gelatine silver print entitled 'Empty Weaving Shed, Salt's Mill, Saltaire' by Ian Beesley. Signed in pencil on the back. Produced for the commission 'Through the Mill: The Story of Yorkshire Wool in Photographs', 1985-1987.

Nearly three thousand people thronged the original weaving shed at a banquet to celebrate the opening of Salts' mill in September 1853. It is now an empty shell, abandoned by its former glories.
