Gelatine silver print entitled 'Priestley's Warehouse, Little Germany, Bradford' by Ian Beesley. Signed in pencil on the back. Produced for the commission 'Through the Mill: The Story of Yorkshire Wool in Photographs', 1985-1987.

At 66 Vicar Lane, Bradford, this Victorian warehouse is outstanding for its simplicity of design, the work of Eli Milnes in 1867. Like many of Bradford's public and commercial buildings it has a prominent linear facade with each storey, all of which is capped with heavy roof cornice. Through the high and grandious entrance passed numerous foreign merchants in search of the high-quality dress fabrics, for which Priestleys Ltd were famed.
