Gelatine silver print entitled 'Augers, Dixon's Bobbin Mills, near Keighley' by Ian Beesley, about 1986. Produced for the commission `Through the Mill:, The Story of Yorkshire Wool in Photographs'. 1985-1987'.

The photograph shows several auger tools for drilling holes hanging on a wall.

From the 1840s John Dixon and Son produced wooden bobbins and cardboard tubes for wool, cotton, and silk cloth production. They were the last traditional bobbin makers in Yorkshire until they closed in 1983.
