One box of 10 TOTM organic cotton applicator tampons, in a letterbox box, as part of their subscription service, made by TOTM in 2018.

Disposable period products have a large environmental impact, and this has become an important topic of conversation. A traditional tampon is around 6% plastic and many have plastic applicators. This means they take a long time to break down in landfill and disposable period products are regularly found during beach cleans in the UK. Unlike a traditional disposable tampon, these ones are made of organic cotton, have a biodegradable cardboard applicator and a recycled paper wrapper.

However, these eco-friendlier products are more expensive and access to them is not always equal.
