- Made:
- 1961 in Canada and United States
A pair of anaglyph 3D glasses called Magic Mystic Glasses for use whilst watching the film 'The Mask' ('The Eyes of Hell'), 1961.
'The Eyes of Hell' (also known as 'The Mask') – was initially shot in 2D, but to enhance the bizarre qualities of the dream-world that is induced when the main character puts on a cursed tribal mask, these scenes were shown in anaglyph 3D whereby the stereoscopic 3D effect is achieved by means of encoding each eye's image using filters of different colours, typically red and cyan.
