Hand-coloured stereophotograph from the Diableries series, 'Les Vendanges en Enfer' [grape harvest in Hell], showing inebriated skeletons among barrels of wine.
Taken by an unknown photographer in 1868 and published by BK (Adolphe Block) of Paris. Part of a series begun in 1861, these amusing stereoscopic photographs were sculpted and photographed by either Habert or Hennetier.
