Protest sign, featuring printed slogan 'NHS for a People’s Vote', used on the People's Vote anti-Brexit March on 23 March 2019 in London, UK.

On 23 March 2019 hundreds of thousands of people marched through London in opposition to Brexit and support for a second or ‘people’s’ vote on Britain’s membership of the European Union. This placard, featuring the slogan, 'NHS for a People’s Vote' was carried by two German PhD students working in cancer research at the University of Cambridge. The placard shows how some scientists had engaged with Brexit, and how public health and research are impacted by Britain’s relationship with the EU.
