Loose photograph from snapshot photograph album no. 9, compiled by Herbert Galloway Stewart (1866-1960). The photograph shows six boys posing in garden grounds; three are sat on the rungs of a ladder and the other three are stood on a raised platform next to the ladder. Thought to be Princes Rostislav, Demetri, Vasili, Nikita, Feodor and Andrew Alexandrovitch.

Between 1908 and 1917, Herbert was English tutor to the sons of Grand Duke Alexander and his wife Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna, sister of Tsar Nicholas II.
