Black and white photograph entitled 'In one of the Grand Duchess' Hospitals at Harrogate, Dec 1914 '. Photograph taken inside one of the Yorkshire hospitals established by H. I. H. The Grand Duchess Marie Georgevich to care for men injured during the First World War. The photograph shows Miss Zoe Stoeckl, a nurse, sat next to a wounded serviceman who is lying in bed. The Grand Duchess Marie Georgevich is stood directly behind the man in bed with two other injured soldiers, the patient sat next to her is wearing a bandage which covers the right side of his face.
